Organizations and universities continue to host their own events with the Sin by Silence Screening Kits during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Amazing impact and coverage.
St. Edwards University in Texas has had a great response to their activities…“I felt like it was a relevant film for understanding domestic violence because it singles out a population of women who saw no other way out of their abusive situation but to kill their husbands,” said senior Angelica Garcia-Ditta, Women’s Events Coordinator at Student Life, who organized the Oct 14 screening. “I think the movie strikes a chord with the audience because you are taken from the beginning of the relationship to the unfortunate end, and you can see how the women never anticipated they’d be in this situation-and it can happen to anyone.”
